HISTORY


Sigma started it's journey within the process industry with engineering and consultancy services in the middle of 1960's. The first decade enabled growth throughout the organization and different skills were acquired to meet the ever increasing demands from customers. By the middle of the 1970's, a group of scientists joined Sigma and formed a new Innovation department. As Sigma became known and succesful in additional sectors, further customer requests and challenges were faced. One of these challenges required the Innovation department to develop the Mecer technology for a customer project to regenerate Alkaline etchant. From this point on, our focus in this area has grown to become a core business and below are some of the key milestones:
